Glaston Manor Angling Association
offer first class coarse fishing on a varity of waters within the Glastonbury and Mid Somerset area. The jewel in the club's crown is the River Brue which provides some of the best winter roach, chub, bream and pike fishing in Somerset.
As the river and its millstreams and tributeries flow from Lydford on Fosse down to Westhay you are spoilt for choice with a variety of swims, each offering up a different challenge and choice of method to catch your chosen quarry.

Emma Drysdale sent in this photo of a beautiful 3lb 4oz perch caught on the upper Brue this winter. Fish in excess of 2 1/2lb
are a realistic target from many stretches of our river.
If you've taken a photo of a catch from our waters we'd love to hear from you.

* * New Club Rules - Landing Nets for Pike* *
Members are reminded to familiarise themselves with the club rules which include some changes this year.
Glaston Manor Angling Association are committed to fish welfare and protecting our precious stocks. One of the rule changes agreed at AGM was to adopt the Pike Anglers Club of Great Britain recommendations for landing nets. When fishing for pike, anglers are required to carry a landing net with arms of at least 36 inches if trianglular shape, or 30 inches in diameter if round framed.
If any member wishes to propose further rule changes please write to the club secretary at least 21 days prior to AGM.
